Hello from Germany

Hello,
I have landed in Germany. My grandpa and grandma were explaining how big the Frankfurt airport is but it is quite a bit bigger than I even imagined. It is ENORMOUS. The plane ride was a little over 10 hours, it was LONG flight. I tried to sleep but I have never been able to sleep while I am traveling. I got into the airport and had to take a 10 minute bus ride just to get into the airport. After I arrived inside the airport I had to go through a Passport Checkpoint. I was then explained that now I have to go through security again. I arrive at security and unload my laptop, take my jacket off, and put my backpack on the security ramp. I left my shoes on because you are supposed to leave them on here. I forgot that my new work shoes have metal shoestring loops. I got called aside and got frisked for the first time which was exciting and scary. I then made my way to my gate which is on the other side of the airport, it made for a great 45 minute workout. Hahahahaha, I am having so much fun. Now I just have to wait around and hope the flight goes quick from Frankfurt to Venice. I hope all of you who are reading this are doing well and getting a laugh out of this. I sure am. This is the last leg of the traveling to Venice. It will be interesting to see what will happen when I arrive in Venice. I will update as soon as I can.

  2. Hi Daniel - We are home again from Whidbey Island and the empty house makes us miss you! Thank you again for all of your help with packing the truck and shlepping!(BTW - your apartment is really impressively clean and organized!)
We are so excited about your experience and can't wait to hear how your first night and day went. YOU must be exhausted after the jet lag and all of that travel.

Much love to you... hugs an kisses from your MOM!
