I made it to Venice Monday afternoon, the plane ride was amazing over the alps, but as soon as we passed over the alps we hit turbulence, mom you would have been really sick. It is 9 hours later here. I have been trying to wrap my head around it. I still feel sleep deprived and trying to get on Italy time. Today was my second day on the ship, it is HUGE. It can host up to 2200 visitors. I got lost multiple times again today. It is different than I thought it would be, it's a lot more like construction than other technical projects I have done in the past. I am enjoying it though. I helped sort through boxes and take inventory, help build some things for the stage, helped with the lighting set up. It is fun. The food is incredible, I was wondering around and it is a maze of streets. Thank you so all so much for following me, leaving me comments, and supporting me doing this. I am loving every minute of it. I am exhausted, sore, and having the time of my life. The crew I am working with are all incredible people with a diverse background from audio, lighting and some video. We are staying in a hotel about 15 minutes away from the ship. I will be moving onto the ship either the 12th or the 16th of June. The ship will spend part of the year cruising out of Italy and part of the year cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. I am off to dinner and then bed. I will update more later. If you have any questions e-mail or comment and I will get them and answer when I can. Sorry the first time the message didn't come through.
Thank you and I love you all,
Daniel Warren
Hi Dano, nothing came through on your post except the title. Waiting with anticipation to hear how it's going. Dad

I loved reading about the prep for the trip, and your time at the Frankfurt airport. Thank you, Lord, for Grandma and Grandpa who were able to prep you :)

P.S. I'm guessing you already have my email, but just in case it's: mengstrom@ugm.org, and Andrew's is engsta@ugm.org
Oh Sorry! I wrote that totally out of habit...

Awesome report, Dano. Great descriptions. I feel like I'm there with you. As my dad used to say to me when I was traveling, "Send pictures when you can."
ReplyDeleteCiao,
Dad
